Are you cheating on us?
Now that I have your attention from the title, I have something very important to discuss. I have received a few questions about cravings, cheat meals and what do you do about it. Well, take a minute to listen to my take on handling cheat meals below.
You don’t have to be 100% compliant to have the body you want. You just want to be in the 90% range of compliance. Sometimes if you have a craving it is best to eat what you are craving and get back on track. You don’t want to get to the point that you keep depriving yourself and have a huge melt down. The key points are:
- Eat nutritious/healthy 90% of the time.
- Don’t replace nutritious/healthy food with cheat meals. Eat cheat meals after you have had your nutritious/healthy meal
- Don’t starve yourself before you go to an event that you know you will have a cheat meal
- If you are having cheat meals and your measurements are still not trending down, then you will need to cut back on cheat meals
