Three day weekends, day parties, cook-outs, evening parties, flights and family gatherings.
Holiday weekends are a virtual obstacle course when it comes to staying on track with our body goals.
The good thing is you didn’t invent the problem so there are solution sets already tried and proven. We just have to figure out which ones are the best matches for us.
I once read about WWE wrestler Triple H, who as a WWE superstar traveled over 280 days out of the year. Thats 5 days out of every week and some weeks 6 or 7 days!
More importantly that’s no home cooking, hotels all the time, flights often internationally and he’s required to wear nothing but trunks and boots in front of a live audience every night! You think YOU’VE got it tough.
What he figured out is there are simple tactics that would allow him to meet the demands of his travel.
- Pre-ordering breakfast according to your nutrition plan to be delivered at a certain time
- packing meals and protein shakes for the road or for the flight in advance
- focusing on the simple behaviors like water intake
- perhaps simplest and most important, have a flexible attitude but know your purpose.
That’s the tip of the iceberg. What other tactics have you found that work for you? Share them here.
