Lesson 3: Hara Hachi Bu

  • 1

    Tracking

Search your tracking for your new habit “#E4A HHB”.
This is a bug habit needed to prime you for the change you’re earning. This is key, super powerful, and the beginning of the win.

  • 2

    Press play

Check out the lesson video. Work to master this habit.
This habit requires practice of the previous habit. It also requires mindfulness. THINK about what you’re doing. Think about WHY. Tie a string around your finger. Whatever it takes, remind yourself.

  • 3

    Turn up your HIIT training

Interval training means ALL OUT effort, followed by measured recovery. The work you do now makes a difference and can earn you early progress.

Imagine this.

You are a triage surgeon.

People’s lives are literally in your hands. You work under pressure and your time is in high demand. At a moment’s notice you can be called into action and the stakes are life and death.

It’s important to you to take care of yourself, so you workout and participate in the martial arts community. You go as hard in the gym as you do at work and you know how important a role nutrition plays in achieving results. The problem is that your time is extremely tight, and your hospital cafeteria primarily serves comfort food.

What do you do?!

Enjoy this lesson.[/text_block]

We still want you to practice those habits, but you will now ONLY be tracking Hara Hachi Bu.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left”] We want you actively tracking your new habit, by answering one question: “Did you eat to satisfaction only today?”

Your tracking will be simple yes or no tracking.  Daily, either you did or you didn’t.  That’s it![/text_block]

Support, Support, Support…

All the while you’re making this series of single changes in your day, you’ll have questions.  We encourage you to ask us directly!  Our coaches and mentors can help untangle and knots.  Also you’ll be innovating!  Your solutions to issues will be hugely helpful to other people in the class, so again we want you to share.  You can post questions to us on the “Coach.Me” app or website as well.  We win together.[/text_block]

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_color=”%23ededed”]Some of you may already be experts in the handling and use of the ancient eating utensils known as chopsticks.

For those of you who aren’t, this video will be of absolutely no help :)

It WILL however make you chuckle, even if only a little bit, on the inside (which is typically enough to get folks to type LOL on their smart phone.)

Enjoy it and get to work.

Ask questions and share your victories in the discussion board. We’ll see you there.[/text_block]
