Lesson 6: Go Green


[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left”]Like we told you, Phase 2 is all about WHAT to eat in order to achieve your best body.

Take a minute to remember why you started the course. What did you hope to accomplish? How important is it to you that you succeed? Now is a good time to remind yourself why.

The lesson in this video is short. Most of what you need to know to successfully adopt this lesson you learned in the previous lessons. Now it’s time to practice (yep, there’s that word again!).[/text_block]

It’s time to start rebuilding ourselves.

Imagine yourself as an astronaut. A simple space traveler. maybe not as elaborate and fictional as say Jim Kirk, but more realistic. If you were packing for years of wandering the stars, what would you need?

OK, we’re going to foreign planets where the atmosphere is unpredictable, plus we’ll be journeying in a ship of some kind so we’ll need an AIR supply. I’d also wager you would need water, heat and FOOD! We couldn’t count on finding food that we could eat on other planets. Those planets would produce food that the indigenous populations have adapted to consume. WE are adapted to consume foods produced on our home planet.

There are two things to learn here and that’s that we are designed to eat and thrive on foods produced naturally, and second that I am a complete science nerd :)

If you want your body to look great, it has to be functioning great. For that to happen, we start by replacing the “food like” products we’ve been conditioned to eat with premium human fuel. That starts with this lesson.

The easy stuff is over. I hope you’ve been practicing.

We want you actively tracking your new habit, by answering one question: “Have you added veggies to your meals today?”

Your tracking will be simple yes or no tracking. Daily, either you did or you didn’t. That’s it![/text_block]

Who is YOUR Farmer?



[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_color=”%23ededed”]Some of you may already be getting acclimated with your produce aisle, buying fresh, whole foods at your local grocery store. That’s fantastic. High-five!

What you want to be aware of is that many of the fresh foods we love travel a very long way to get to us. Sometimes that can’t be helped.

In other cases though, we DO have fresh, local options available. Consider taking the time to get to know your local farmers.

Why buy seasonally and locally? Lots of reasons.

  • It’s Often Cheaper
  • The Quality Is Better
  • You Support Small Family Farming

How do you know it’s grown locally? Easy! Just ask the farmer at the market where the food comes from. You’ll get to know the folks who bring you your food.[/text_block]
