Stress is a KILLER!

…And to add insult to injury, it can also keep us from getting rid of those final fat deposits in our hard to reach places:

  • Lower abdomen
  • Thighs and butt
  • Back and rear arms

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left”]You’re assignment is to become a stress assassin.

Also since this habit takes only 20 minutes per day, we want you spending the rest of your habit building, change energy on working to master your “Timing is Everything” habit AND staying active. In particular you should be performing 2 HIIT workouts per week along with whatever other fitness modalities you practice.

You’re about to be even more awesome as a result.

“Stress is Like Holding a Glass of Water”

by Bob Tschannen-Moran[/text_block]

— SPACER —

“A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, “How heavy is this glass of water?” Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance.”

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left”]“In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes,” he continued, “and that’s the way it is with stress management. If we carry all of our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won’t be able to carry on.”

“As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we’re refreshed, we can carry on with the burden. So, whatever burdens you’re carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can. Don’t pick them up again until after you’ve rested a while. They will then seem so much lighter.”

Sting and his wife Trudie Styler both practice yoga and meditation. The singer said:

“Yoga introduced me to a style of meditation. The only meditation I would have done before would be in the writing of songs”.

We still want you to practice those habits, but you will now be tracking “Phil Jackson Zen.”[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left”]You no longer have to track your previous habits, but YOU ARE TO STILL PRACTICE THEM.

We want you actively tracking your new habit, by answering one question: “Have you set aside deliberate stress relief time today?”

Your tracking will be simple yes or no tracking.  Daily, either you did or you didn’t. That’s it![/text_block]
